Might need to revisit this game though. In the last year have found some visual novels that are surprisingly entertaining, given that like you, I need a little extra interactivity.

If you like horror visual novels with adventure-y or investigative elements, I would suggest giving Spirit Hunter: Death Mark a try. Japanese horror-based, really eerie atmosphere, very creepy ghosts and first person point & click exploration gameplay. I’m midway through it myself and so far it’s been fun. The artwork is outstanding. If you give it a go, would love to hear know your thoughts.
